Celebrate Ukrainian Heritage at the Ukrainian Day Festival in Portland

The Ukrainian-American Cultural Association is excited to announce the much-anticipated annual Ukrainian Day Festival, set to take place at Cathedral Park, Portland, OR, on August 18, 2007. This vibrant celebration of Ukrainian culture and heritage is a day-long event starting at noon, promising an array of activities and performances that will delight the entire family.

This year’s festival features an impressive lineup of live music and traditional Ukrainian song performances, showcasing the rich tapestry of Ukrainian arts. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the heritage through Ukrainian Arts Exhibitions, where local artists will display their work, illuminating the spirit of Ukraine.

Adding to the festivities, a children’s soccer match will be organized with the Ukrainian soccer team ‘Dynamo,’ allowing kids to engage in friendly competition while fostering sportsmanship. Other fun activities are planned throughout the day to ensure that there is something for everyone.

The Ukrainian Day Festival is a cornerstone event for the Ukrainian community in Portland, bringing together people of all ages to celebrate their culture and share it with the wider community. It’s a day to enjoy the company of friends and family, indulge in Ukrainian culinary delights, and participate in the living tradition of a vibrant culture.

This event is proudly sponsored by the Ukrainian Churches of Portland-Vancouver area, Ukrainian School of Knowledge, and the Ukrainian Federal Credit Union, among others.

Join us at Cathedral Park for a day filled with cultural enrichment and community spirit.
